The award-winning attributes of the Pioneer Mitchell include:

# Attribute 1: Ease of Use
The Mitchell’s setup is simply genius. Not only is it super quick; it’s also easy. There’s no heavy lifting or excessive bending to get the job done. In fact, while others crow about their quick overnight setups with limited functionality, the Mitchell’s full tent can be erected in around a minute. What would you rather do? Sleep in a camper with an attached room for getting changed or in a cramped overnight shelter? Check out the video below.

Then there’s that expansive kitchen! With the stove sheltered alongside the camper, the generous bench space can be used from almost any angle without restriction.

Utilisation of space & protection from the elements are key to its appeal

# Attribute 2: Comforts
Make no mistake, at this price point customers expect comforts and they get it in spades with the Mitchell. Queen size innerspring mattress; hot water to the kitchen and shower; cosy cocoon around the bed with plush lining and plenty of head room; gourmet kitchen; large windows and skylight to bring the outside in, yet with mesh screening and block-out blinds for privacy, cross flow ventilation and protection from insects.

Hard walls and roof keep you cosy and isolated from the elements

# Attribute 3: Generous Storage
Look around the Mitchell and it’s easy to see how the designers have put function as a priority. Generous storage caters for even those bulky items like chairs and tables without encumbering the bed area.

Starting at the front, the Mitchell houses three jerry cans and two large gas bottles. The protective wings around the gas bottles drop away to make it easy for loading after each refill. And a 50L cavity allows you to collect firewood on the move.

A large 340L storage box sits under the fixed solar panel and can accommodate the awning, ensuite, chairs and tables. The fridge box measures 700L and can swallow a monster Evakool 105L dual zone fridge freezer – just like the one we’re giving away!

Alongside is a dual drawer slide-out pantry. The top section runs for almost the full width of the camper and can be accessed inside or out. The bottom slide out drawer can accommodate pots, pans and other cookware. Handy!

The main roll out kitchen features an easy access side drawer for crockery, while utensils are housed in the swing away bench top near the stove.

Stepping inside the camper, the slatted bed base lifts on gas struts to provide unimpeded access to the storage area below.

On the outside, the far side incorporates two large compartments. The first offers 415L  of storage, shared with the pantry, and is a good for stackable boxes. The second offers space next to the fridge in an external box, making it suitable for a generator, porta potti or BBQ.

# Attribute 4: Rugged Chassis
The Pioneer Mitchell has one of the strongest chassis’ in its class! With main chassis rails measuring 150 x 50mm, it’s the sort of underpinnings you’d expect on an off road van, so you know it’ll handle everything you throw at it. The chassis is rated to 2-tonne and is packaged with 12″ electric brakes, independent coil suspension with shock absorbers, plus a generous payload.

# Attribute 5: Value for Money
Key to its award winning status is Value for Money! Beyond the stand out features such as its innovative design that makes setup and pack-up breeze; the cosy but airy sleeping quarters; easy use kitchen; and generous storage, are a long list of standard features: hot water, inner spring mattress, opening windows, Redarc Battery Management System, premium wheels & tyres, rugged chassis, fixed solar and more.

Do the comparison. We guarantee you’ll be impressed!

Summing Up
Pioneer Campers have produced a winner with the Mitchell Hard Roof/Hybrid Camper. The company has taken a common sense approach to develop a comfortable tourer that packages all the essentials required for remote off road travel for couples or small families. Rugged build, generous storage, comforts and value for money. But best of all, its a delight to use!
